Hi fellow citizens. We find ourselves in dangerous times. We basically have a political party that has declared war on America and another party who are too cowardly to defend it. As a citizen of Michigan, I find that I am afraid of the future for my family. I look at the economy, the business ethics, and the morality of our nation and say to myself, "it's time for the people to stand up and do what is right!"
The United States of America is the greatest country God has given man. The key to our greatness is the freedom we enjoy under our constitution: A constitution for which our ancestors fought hard to give the citizens liberties of freedom that many of them did not know. But these days our constitution is under attack from people who want to turn America into a socialist state and I see many others who, instead of fighting against this, are satisfied in slowing it down, but not actually stopping it. If we allow this to continue, we have to question whether our children and their children will be able to enjoy the freedoms that our parents and their parents enjoyed.
Case in point, the 2008 Buy-Out that just passed gives powers to the Secretary of Treasury that are unconstitutional, yet both parties are congratulating each other on a job well done. A job that included more than what was really in dire emergency and leaving us, the citizens of our great nation, left to pay the bill.
What we need is people who will govern in a manner that respect the constitution, that lower taxes, that eliminate government regulation, that return education of our children to local communities giving more control to the parents, and that allow the greatness of the American people lead America; and lead our state, Michigan, to even greater heights.
I would appreciate a chance to be that person. I want to be the person that will truly represent the citizens of Michigan, for the future of our families. Thank you for your support in returning the constitution back to the people, for the people, and by the people.
